Position Overview

The Commission for the Accreditation of Christian Science Nursing Organizations/Facilities, Inc. (“The Commission”) seeks an experienced Manager to support its Board of Directors in fulfilling its accreditation, oversight, and service responsibilities to Member Organizations.

This role offers meaningful flexibility in schedule and scope, with openness to part-time or full-time candidates. The Commission seeks a seasoned professional with deep experience in Christian Science nursing, accreditation processes, and organizational leadership, along with mature judgment, discretion, and an active practice of Christian Science.

The Commission Manager provides continuity and operational leadership across accreditation reviews, training, communications, complaint management, and coordination with staff, contractors, and volunteers, working closely with the Board, President, and Vice President.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide coordinating oversight of accreditation reviews

  • Support Member Organizations and Review Team Leaders before, during, and after reviews

  • Conduct or coordinate periodic on-site reviews in accordance with Accreditation Standards

  • Facilitate follow-up on Required Actions and ensure documentation and communications are complete

  • Coordinate training, orientation, and continuing education for reviewers and committees

  • Receive, research, and manage complaints in accordance with Commission policy and Board direction

  • Draft and coordinate communications, reports, policies, and official documentation

  • Support Board meetings, initiatives, and organizational planning

  • Coordinate administrative, financial, and operational activities with contractors and staff

  • Serve as a primary point of contact for Member Organizations and organizational leaders

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience

  • Minimum of four (4) years of senior leadership experience in a Christian Science nursing organization or comparable role serving the Christian Science community

  • Experience with accreditation processes, including participation as a reviewer and/or reviewee

  • Primary Class instruction by an authorized teacher of Christian Science

  • Membership in The Mother Church

  • Active membership in a branch Church, Society, or The Mother Church

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Working knowledge of relevant nonprofit, employment, privacy, and regulatory requirements

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and Zoom

Work Environment

  • Remote/virtual work environment with reliable internet access

  • Flexible schedule ranging from 25–40 hours per week, based on mutual agreement

  • Travel required for reviews
